Vickie Morrison Edney, 71, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Knoxville, TN on Tuesday, October 18, 2022.
She was born in and grew up in Hendersonville and had a special, loving relationship with her Nanny. She was a member of Main Street Baptist Church. Vickie graduated from East Henderson High School in 1968. She attended Gardner-Webb University for a year before beginning her airline career. Vickie retired after 30 years as a flight attendant with Piedmont Airlines and US Airways.
She was the daughter of the late Jim and Julia Greene and Hugh and Charlotte Morrison. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Mike Greene, and her nephew, Kevin DeLozier.
Vickie is survived by her stepmother, Gloria Morrison; sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda and Bob DeLozier, Kay and Ted Silver, and Robin and Dave Lautenklos; sister-in-law, Rita Greene; and brother and sister-in-law, Todd and Kelly Morrison. She also leaves several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be on Wednesday, November 2, at 1:00 PM. Vickie will be buried at Shepherd's Memorial Park beside her mother and stepfather.
