Claudia Anna Hafendorfer,of Louisville, Kentucky, 81, passed away on Thursday, October 27th, 2022. She was the former Claudia Blankenship born on March 11, 1941 in Louisville, Kentucky.

She graduated from Fern Creek High School and attended Georgetown College. She was a member of the Gold Star Wives of America and worked in Dermatology for 42 years before she retired. She was a member of Ascension Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Capt. Charles T. Hafendorfer USAF; her mother and stepfather, Marjorie and Bob Ackman; her father and stepmother, Claude and Ruth Blankenship and brother David Ackman.

She is survived by her daughters, Kim Brock, Lisa Hafendorfer; son, Chris Giles, and long time partner, Estel Logsdon. Sisters: Sandra Walls (Lloyd), Sherry Thornton (Jerry); and brothers, C.W. and Jeff Blankenship. Grandchildren: Heather Blair (Jerry), Abby ,Logan Brock and Haley and Taylor Giles; and one great grandson, Knox Wayne Castilone.

Visitation will be at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, on Wednesday, November 2nd from 1-8pm. Her funeral Mass will be at Church of the Ascension Catholic Church on Thursday at 10am, with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
