Karen E. Dimick Gutowsky, 54, Logansport, died at 6:10 a.m. Tuesday, January 29, 2008, in Logansport Memorial Hospital, following a courageous 30-year battle with cancer.

Born October 28, 1953, in Indianapolis, Indiana, Harry E. and Betty Johnston Dimick. Her mother and stepfather, Betty and Dr. Joseph Closson survive in Fishers, Indiana.

A graduate of Logansport High School's Class of 1972, she was a member of the National Honor Society during high school. A homemaker, Karen had attended Indiana University.

Surviving are two sons Tyler Gutowsky and Kyle Gutowsky, both of Arlington, TN.; sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Jeff Berkshire of Alpharetta, GA, brothers Mike Dimick, Twelve Mile,Roy Dimick of Alpharetta, GA and brother and sister-in-law John and Lori Dimick, Kirklin, IN. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Her father and a niece proceeded her in death.


Funeral Information
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Feb.1, 2008, in the Mount Hope Cemetery chapel. Friends may call from noon until 1 p.m. Friday in Fisher Funeral Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Hospital in Memphis, TN or the American Cancer Society.
