Janice was born on January 21, 1938, to the late Edgar Hamilton Jackson and Lily Magdeline Anderson Jackson.
She was raised in Columbus, OH, was a former resident of Orient, OH, having made Aiken, SC her home for the past 22 years. Janice was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Coker Springs Ward. She enjoyed word searches, crafts, sewing. and finding deals at flee markets. Janice was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She had a special love for animals and adored her canine companions, Trixie and Little Bit.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J.K. Bailey; and a sister, Doreen Thrasher.
Surviving family members include four sons, Bryon Keith Bivens (Lyn), Dale Alan Bivens (Cindy), Ralph Brad Bivens (Trish), and Bryce Edgar Bivens (Sara); a sister, Carolyn Hurst; fifteen grandchildren; and multiple great-grandchildren.
