Grace Arvilla Sapp, 94, of Midland, Mich., passed away Monday, Dec. 31, 2018, at Masonic Pathways, Alma, Mich.
Grace was born in Genesee Township, Mich., Dec. 18, 1924, the daughter of Ervin and Esther (Curtis) Smith. She was a graduate of St. Louis High School. Grace married William Sapp on June 28, 1947 in Alma, Mich.
Grace loved to garden, read, and do crossword puzzles. Most importantly she loved spending time with her husband of 71 years, her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing, making rag rugs and going to estate sales to find antiques. Grace worked at Midland Hospital in food services. She enjoyed listening to country and bluegrass music. She attended Floyd Church of God in Midland County. Grace resided most of her life in Midland County.
She is survived by her husband, William Sapp of Midland, children, grand children and others.
Grace was preceded in death by her parents; son, William David Sapp; great-grandson, Auston Smith; and siblings, Howard Smith, Alfred Smith, Harley Smith, Glen Smith, Anna Buchanan, Ilene Foster and Mary Smith.Grace Arvilla Sapp age 94 of Midland, MI, passed away Monday, December 31, 2018, at Masonic Pathways, Alma, MI.
A Memorial Service will be held at Masonic Pathways- Doig Chapel, Alma, MI on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Steven Swem officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service.

Grace was preceded in death by her parents, son William David Sapp, great-grandson Auston Smith, and siblings: Howard Smith, Alfred Smith, Harley Smith, Glen Smith, Anna Buchanan, Ilene Foster and Mary Smith.
