The parents of James B Ballard were Joshua 'Josh' Ballard born 1826 died 1866 & Louisa Bolton/Boulton born 1826 and died 1909. First marriage was to Lucindy Chaney abt 1874(she died before 1878). Mary Louella 'Ella' Ballard (born 1876 died 1965) was the only known child of this marriage. 2nd wife was Margaret Elizabeth 'Lizzy' Parson. (Lizy Person married J B Ballard in Van Zandt Co, Texas on 15 Sept 1878) Children were: (1) Sarah A Ballard born 1879 died 1900, (2) Joshua Joseph Ballard born 1881 died 1964, (3) Galiton Daniel Ballard born 1882 died 1951, (4) William Harvey Ballard born 1885 died 1962 (5) James Ales 'Jim' Ballard born 1887 died 1975, (6) Louisa Ballard born 1889 died 1955, (7) David Crockett Ballard born 1893 died 1969. 3rd wife was Josephine born 1858 and died 1930. They were married before 1910 in Texas.
