Lillie Mae Edney, age 84, of Hendersonville, North Carolina, following a lengthy battle with dementia is at peace. Lillie passed away on Friday, October 28, 2022 at her residence with her loved ones at her side. A native of Henderson County, North Carolina, she was born on March 20, 1938 and was the daughter of the late Fred and Edith Edney.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Lyda and her husband, Lewis; brother, Donald Edney; and brother-in-law, Timothy Westbrook

A 1956 graduate of Edneyville High School, Lillie retired from P.H. Glatfelter in November 1998 following 40 years of service. She was a member of Hendersonville First Church of the Nazarene, and at one time taught Sunday school and was over the nursery.

Lillie is survived by one brother, Wade Edney and his wife, Sara; one sister, Pat Westbrook; one sister-in-law, Janet Edney; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hendersonville. The date and time will be published once it has been confirmed.
