Janice Erina Emery Ashworth, 73, of Asheboro, died Monday, October 31, 2022, at Kindred Hospital in Greensboro. Born in Moore County, NC, on March 7, 1949, Janice was the daughter of the late William Samuel Emery and Lena Mae Thurmon Emery.
She was retired from Randolph Hosptial and worked for Luck's for over 30 years. She was a member of Unity Grove Baptist Church. She enjoyed online coloring, working jigsaw puzzles and traveling to the mountains. Janice loved her family and her dog, Buddy.
Surviving are her husband; daughter and her husband; son; sister; three grandchildren; and a great granddaughter.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. on Friday, November 4, 2022, at Ridge Funeral Home in Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, November 5, 2022, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, Asheboro, with Pastor Jason Cheek and Rev. Frank Barrett officiating. Burial will follow at Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Seagrove.
