Harold was born in Chester, PA on May 8, 1948, and grew up in Smyrna, DE. He graduated from Smyrna High School and Delaware State University, earning his degree in accounting. He went on to obtain his MBA from Central Michigan University.
After college, Harold spent his career as an IRS agent for 36 years, retiring in 2007. In 1970 he married the love of his life, Dorothy Wood Arbogast, and together they raised three wonderful daughters.
Harold had a lifelong passion for reading, music, collecting, watching movies, driving sports cars, and helping others with large purchases. He enjoyed traveling, having visited Germany and Israel, as well as many trips to Florida. He especially loved his annual family vacations to Ocean City, Maryland, where he cherished spending time with his grandchildren. In his younger years he loved skiing, karate, bowling, and spelunking.
Harold was a jovial and generous man, and a wonderful husband, dad, and grandfather. He always had a contagious laugh, a large personality, and made friends easily. In his retirement he lived by the motto, "Every day is a Holiday!", and was an inspiration to his family in exemplifying how to live life to its fullest. He was deeply loved and is dearly missed.
Harold is preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Hannelore Arbogast and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
