Esther May Carman was the daughter of Vernon Clinton Carman and Virginia May Anderson. She was born April 29, 1946 in Iowa City, Iowa and passed away November 3, 2022 in Lincoln, Lancaster County, Nebraska at the old Lancaster Manor Nursing Home.
Esther was raised by her foster parents - Albert Rainforth & Lillian (Cox) Rainforth.
She was a registered nurse before retiring.
She married Richard Wayne Harsh on April 29, 1973 and they divorced in July 1984. To this union two daughters were born, Carmen and Connie.
She married 2nd to Paul Andrew Steffensen on June 1, 1996 in Fremont, Nebraska.
She is survived by her daughters Carmen and Connie, brothers, John Carman, Dan Medcalf, Walt Brandhorst, sisters, Dorothy Clark, Lois Schena, many cousins, nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, both spouses, brothers Richard, Robert, Paul, Sisters, - Sharon, Brenda.
Cremation - celebration of life at a later date.
