Danny Allen "Jake" Bales, 69, of Gandeeville, went to be with the Lord on October 26, 2022, after an unexpected illness.
He was born October 7, 1953, at Welch, a son of the late Sylvan Ellis "S.E." and Leecie Mae Hutchinson Kennedy Bales.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Katherine "Bubbles" Evans Bales; a grandson, Grayson Lee Bales; a nephew, Matthew Bales.
Survivors include his son, grandchildren, brothers, a sister,
many nieces and nephews; a host of friends.
He was a retired member of IUOE Local 132 where he spent many years being a valued hoe hand on many pipelines. He loved taking trips on his bike, watching and feeding his deer and birds, and spending time with his grandson, Lucas. He loved farming and you could always count on him to tell you a story of past jobs where he met several long-time friends. He was hard-working and dedicated to everything he put his mind to. He enjoyed talking and looking at cars and equipment with his son. If you ever needed a hand, you could count on Danny to be there to help.
Per Danny's request a simple graveside service will be held at the Gandeeville Cemetery
