Professional Football Player and College Coach. He was born Curtis William Gentry and from 1966 until 1968 he played in the defensive back position for the Chicago Bears of the Nation Football League (NFL). He was drafted in the 1966 NFL draft in round 17 as overall pick 357 out of Maryland Eastern Shore. In his 3 year career he played in 38 games and made 6 interceptions. He was also an assistant coach at several colleges and the head coach at Alabama A&M (1976) and Lincoln University (1980). He was also a member of the Harlem Globetrotters and played AAA baseball for the Detroit Tigers. While serving in the US Army, he played with his post basketball and baseball teams. He is a member of his high school's Hall of Fame.
