Born January 14, 1941 in Delaware, Ohio the daughter of the late Robert & Mildred (Martin) Coonfare. Joyce graduated from Grandview Heights High School in 1959. She was an insurance adjuster at Parker Clinic, for 20 plus years before retiring. She was a member of Bellpoint Methodist church.
She met and later married Charles R. "Dick" Hamilton, they spend 62 wonderful years together before her passing. Also, left to cherish her memory are her son Keith (April) Hamilton; step-grandson Brooks Parsell; brother Robert "Bob" (Nancy Richeter) Coonfare; dog daughter Annie Poo, and grand-dog Gracie Mae; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and daughter Kelley Hamilton, who she was a caregiver to before her passing.
Joyce was only 4 foot 11 inches and was dynamite. It is true that little things come in big packages. She was a voracious reader, and worked with her hands; cross-stitching, crocheting, knitting, and working with pottery. She enjoyed watching the Ohio State Buckeyes, Cincinnati Reds, and Bengals. She enjoyed traveling with her brother Bob, including the stadium tour that they took a couple years back. She was also an avid Bridge and Euchre player.
Joyce was dedicated to her family in every way, she enjoyed spending time with them. Those close to her will remember her as the amazing, spunky, loving, and wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and sister that she was.
Friends may join the family for a visitation 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at the Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center, 101 Valleyside Drive, Delaware, Ohio 43015, where funeral services celebrating Joyce's life will be held at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Delaware.
