Alice Lillian (Hurley) Birmingham, 75, of 56 Champagne Ave., The Spruces, Williamstown, wife of Lewis R. Birmingham, died yesterday at the Adams Nursing Home, Williamstown, following an extended illness.
Born in Melrose, Nov. 30, 1899, a daughter of the late Dennis J. and Mary E. (Hoben) Hurley, she attended Melrose Schools and resided in Foxboro before moving to Williamstown in 1965 following her husband's retirement. The couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary last year.
Besides her husband, she leaves four sisters, all of whom reside in the Boston area.
Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the Sherman Burbank Memorial Chapel in Eastlawn Cemetery, Williamstown. Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Birmingham family lot in Forestdale Cemetery, Malden. There are to be no calling hours. The Hopkins Funeral Home, Williamstown, is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory may be made to the Ed Smith Cardiac Care Fund through the funeral home or to Mrs. John Skorupski at the Williamstown Savings Bank.
