Steven C. Baumann age 52 of New Holstein died Sunday, November 6, 2022 comfortably at home after a 2 ½ year battle with cancer.
He was born January 5, 1970, Son of Gary and Dorothy (Schiesl) Baumann attended grade school at St. Isidore Catholic School in Osman and high school at Kiel graduating in 1988. He married Rene Nagel on June 24, 2000 at United Church of Christ, in Plymouth.

Steve graduated from Milwaukee School of Engineering in November 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology. He worked at Johnsonville LLC as a Sr. Mechanical Project Engineer for 13 years.

Steve was an exceptional example of what a Husband, Son, Brother, Brother-in-law, Father, Step-Father, Father-In-Law, Grandfather, Uncle and Friend should be. He enjoyed fishing with family and friends whenever possible. Steve was a great mentor, coach, and inspiration to many people throughout his life. He was a very motivated individual that when he put his mind to something he could accomplish anything. One of his many respected qualities was not being afraid to give advice or ask for help when needed. He found great purpose sharing in the successes, joys, and challenges of those around him at home and at work.

He is survived by his wife: Rene Nagel Baumann, his mother Dorothy (Schiesl) Baumann, son and his spouse: Jake (Sarah) Baumann; Rene's children: Sarah (Derek) DePagter, Kimberly (Kyle) Starasinich, Richard (Samantha) Meyer, Kayleen Meyer. He is further survived by his grandchildren: Kinsley, Emery Baumann, Grace, Charlotte, Eleanor and Adeline Meyer, Araiah and Ezra Starasinich. Steve is survived by 3 Sisters Angela (Todd) Novotny, Pamela (Jay) Binversie, Wendy (Scott) Buckingham, many special nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father Gary Baumann, his grandparents, Victor and Florence Baumann and Nicholas and Hilda Schiesl.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 am on Tuesday November 15th at Wieting Family Funeral Home, 411 W. Main St. Chilton WI.

Relatives and friends may call at the Wieting Funeral home on Monday, November 14th from 3:30 PM until 7:30 PM and Tuesday November 15th from 9:00 AM until the time of the service at 11:15 AM.
