Albert Ronald Davis, age 83, a native and resident of Seymour, Indiana, passed away on Friday, November 4, 2022 at Lutheran Community Home in Seymour, Indiana. He was born on November 29, 1938 to the late Albert Paul Davis and the late Stella (Bowers) Anderson. On June 26, 1965 he married the love of his life Charlotte (Sack) Davis and together they have enjoyed over 57 years of marriage. He was a faithful member of Zion Lutheran Church for over 18 years and served on the dinner committee and was an "apple peeler" for Zion Lutheran's famous apple dumplings. Albert was a very hard worker. He enjoyed sports and following the St. Louis Cardinals, Indianapolis Colts and the Chicago Bears.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him and each life that he touched in his own special way.
He is survived by his wife Charlotte Davis of Seymour, Indiana. One son, Greg Davis of Seymour, Indiana. Three brothers, Donald Zink of Medora, Indiana, Randy Zink of Pomona, California and Michael Zink of Vallonia, Indiana. One sister, Beverly Brewster of Seymour, Indiana, Nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Tony Davis and Geoffrey "Jeff" Davis. One sister, Carolyn David and two brothers, Ricky Zink and David Zink.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 from 12:00PM until 1:00PM at Zion Lutheran Church. Services will begin at 1:00PM at the church with Pastor Jeffrey Stuckwisch and Pastor Bradley Akey officiating.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Lutheran Cemetery in Seymour, Indiana.
