Gregory Thomas Riley was the first child of Thomas and Rhonda Riley of Red Oak, Texas, and the first grandchild of Alfred and Lometa Edwards-Red Oak and Tip and Pat Riley-Ferris. He is also survived by several aunts and uncles.
He was born on Thanksgiving Day, and died on Christmas Eve. His parents went on to have three more sons--Michael, Marcus, and Matthew. Gregory is missed and loved by all every day. He died of heart problems having lived only 27 days.
He lived through the heart test to find out what was wrong, then lived through open-heart surgery. He actually died while the surgeons were closing the wound. He will always be held in the arms of Jesus. God lent him to us for a short time, but there is no doubt there was a purpose in his short life.
