On November 5th, 2022, God added to His Heaven's Host by bringing home Linda Eloise Frazier Hood. There to greet her upon her arrival was her husband of 54 years James C. (Jim) Hood, her parents Hinze (Heck) Frazier and Ada Frazier of Love County Oklahoma, 5 brothers, 2 sisters, and a whole host of people who had gone before who loved this incredible woman. Those reluctantly wishing her bon voyage are her three sons, James Hood and his wife Brenda Hood of Sanger, Texas, Paul Hood of Krum Texas, and Tim Hood and his wife Jean Hood of Krum Texas, one granddaughter, Tiffany Herns of Ft. Worth, Texas, two brothers, Jimmie Frazier, and Mack Frazier both of Leon Oklahoma, many nieces and nephews too numerous to mention here, as well as countless friends and extended family. On the day of her passing she was 88 years young.

Linda was born on Thursday, September 6, 1934, in the Batson community of Love County, Oklahoma. Linda was born at a time when the main mode of transportation was still mainly horse and wagon, so she lived to see the end of the horse and wagon age to the beginning of the Space Age and beyond. During her time on this earth, she saw many changes. She lived through World War II doing whatever a young girl could do to assist in the war effort and watching friends and relatives go off to fight in that war.

She met the man who would become her loving husband by virtue of a friend who at the time was dating one of Jim's brothers. Linda's friend and Jim's brother arranged for the two to meet. After dating they were married at Plainview Baptist Church in Krum, Texas, on Linda's 19th birthday, September 6, 1953. Together they had 3 sons. 50 years later they renewed their vows on September 6, 2003, again at Planview Baptist Church. Linda suffered the pain of losing Jim on September 14th, 2007.

Although Linda lived most of her life in Texas, she never forgot her Oklahoma heritage. It was always a fun time in the Hood household during the Texas OU weekend. Her husband and 3 sons would be supporting and cheering for the University of Texas, but she never wavered in supporting and cheering for the University of Oklahoma in their annual Red River Shootout. She always proudly proclaimed that while she may now live in Texas, she was from Oklahoma.

Linda was a much beloved person in her community. As she was able, she was active in her church, teaching Sunday School and Vacation Bible Study many years. She served as election judge in many elections in her community. She considered her main job in her life to be that of a homemaker. She raised 3 sons and later served as a surrogate grandmother to children; caring for the children's needs while the children's parents worked. To those children she will always be remembered as Mimi.

Family Visitation will be at the Coker Funeral Home on Friday, November 11, 2022, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Her Funeral will be held at Plainview Baptist Church the next day, November 12, 2022, at 2:00 PM with a funeral procession to follow to the Bolivar Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her husband. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Susan G Komen Foundation.
