Virginia Anne (Sill) Wheeldon passed away on November 4, 2022 at Accura Healthcare of Pleasantville.
She was born on September 15, 1939 to Orville Clifton Sill and Mary Virginia (Morr) Sill in Ackworth. She was the oldest of six children and grew up around the Ackworth and Indianola area. She graduated from Indianola High School in 1957.
In September, 1955 she met Joseph Leroy Wheeldon on a blind date. On February 15, 1957 Leroy and Virginia were married at her grandparent's house. Four children were born: Virginia Lee (Ginny), Ronald Eugene, Diane Marie and Gregory Mark.
When the kids were older she started working outside the home for Look Magazine, Ruan, Allied Insurance, EMC Insurance, Northwestern Mutual and Walmart.
Some of her hobbies were genealogy, scrapbooking, camping and auctions. She was a member of the Warren County Genealogical Society and the Iowa Genealogical Society.
She is survived by her children Ginny (Jim) Schaefer, Ron (Carol) Wheeldon, Greg (Deanna) Wheeldon and son-in-law William Fulton. Grandchildren Brad (Becci) Schaefer, Katie (Teddy) Hawley, Bethany Schaefer, Sarah (Joe) Lemmert, Eric Fulton, Alex Fulton, Kaila Wheeldon (Dylan Giles) and Kenzie Wheeldon (Jesse Hanke). Great grandchildren Amelie, Cecily, Elodie, Braylen, Briley, Rusty, Kylie, Peyton, Kendall, Lena, Chase and Thea. She is also survived by a brother John (Sharon) Sill and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Leroy, daughter Diane, daughter-in-law Bette, sisters: Joyce Sill, Linda Sill, Harriet Allgeier, Myrna Couch and half-brother Roger Sill.
