John Fellowes Wallop, 7th Earl of Portsmouth

Born on 27 December 1859. He was the son of Isaac Newton Wallop, 5th Earl of Portsmouth and Lady Eveline Alicia Juliana Herbert. He was educated at Eton College and graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) He succeeded to the titles of 7th Earl of Portsmouth, 7th Viscount Lymington and 7th Baron Wallop, of Farley Wallop on 4 December 1917 upon the death of his brother, Newton Wallop (1856–1917). Upon succeeding to the Earldom he lived at Barton House, Morchard Bishop, Devon. He held the offices of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) and Vice-Lord Lieutenant of Devon and served as Chairman of the County Main Roads Committee. He was also Private Secretary to the Governor of Tasmania between 1884-1886. He passed away on the 7 September, 1925 at age 65, unmarried, and was succeeded in his titles by his brother, Oliver Henry Wallop (1861–1943)
