Aaron T. Thompson died at his home at Marbleridge, Wednesday night, at 8 o'clock, of rheumatism, aged 89 years.
Owing to the nature of his ailment he has been unable to lie in bed for nearly a year, but was obliged to rest sitting in a chair, in an upright position. Mr. Thompson was a native of Marblehead but has been a resident of town for about twelve years. He was a member of Atlantic Lodge, No. 55, I.O.O.F., and was one of the oldest, if not the oldest member of the fraternity in Essex County.
The funeral services will be held at bis late home, Saturday afternoon, at 2 o'clock, Rev. Chas. Noyes officiating. The funeral arrangements will probably be under the management of Wauwinet Lodge, of this town.
