Reverend Jack Lamar Key, Pastor of Gateway Baptist Church in Rossville, Georgia, went home to be with the Lord and Savior on Friday, November 11, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. After 63 years in the ministry, preaching and singing the Gospel of Salvation, Jack had the honor of meeting Jesus Christ face to face.
Jack, age 79, was the son of the late Olin and Gladys Key. He was preceded in death by his sister, Wanda Key Myrick.
Mr. Key proudly served his country during the war with Vietnam as a Sailor in the United States Navy aboard the USS Suribachi (AE-21).
Left to cherish Jack's memory are his loving wife Judy Key, son Mike (Cindy) Key, his beloved grandchildren, five sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law, extended family and friends.
A graveside service with Military Funeral Honors will be held at 12:00 P.M. on November 16, 2022 at Whitfield Memorial Gardens with Reverend James Helton officiating Interment will follow in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
