Anthony "Tony" J. Maggio, 61, of 616 N. Third St. died at 1:10 p.m. Sunday at St. John's Hospital.

Born in Springfield, Mr. Maggio was the son of Jasper and Anna Catalano Maggio.

He was a member of SS. Peter and Paul's Church.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Blanche E., in April of 1966; father, Jasper; and a brother, Samuel, also preceded him in death.

For 35 years, Mr. Maggio was employed by the J.R. Thompson's Restaurant and for eleven years he has been employed at Young's Inc.

Surviving are his wife, Clementine (Ranft); one son, Joseph S.; mother, Mrs. Anna Maggio; three brothers, Joe, Pete and Jasper, all of Springfield; one sister, Mrs. Frances Wilkerson, of Springfield; one grandson; one granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.

Services were at SS. Peter and Paul's Church.

Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.
