VISITATION: Friday 11/18/22: (Viewing) ~ Bernando Garcia Funeral Home ~ 8215 Bird Rd. Miami FL, 33155. From 5-11 p.m.

INTERMENT: Saturday, 11/19/22: (Burial) ~ Miami Memorial Park, 6200 SW 77th Ave, Miami FL, 33143.

Graduate of Miami High School, Miami, Fla. 1968. Married to Maribel Delgado. Studied at Miami-Dade College, Class of 1970. Father of four sons, Arturo, Jr., Francis, Kevin, and Steven. Former traffic supervisor at Viasa and former Ground Coordinator at Falcon Air Express. Married Maribel Delgado, Nov. 27, 1983.


The cause of death was reported to be sepsis as a result of a leg injury while on vacation.

Other Accomplishments – In addition being a valuable point-producing member of the MHS track team for three years and the team MVP his senior year, Art Delgado was also a member of the MHS Football team his freshman year (10th grade). After high school and college he coached his four sons and many other Miami-area youth in football, basketball, and track (Tamiami Park Youth League). He was a volunteer coach in Track & Field at Rockway Junior High School where his sons Kevin and Steven took 1st and 2nd place in shot and discus in city-wide competition (Kevin setting a Fla. state record in 2008-2009 of 54' 00" in the Shot Put). Art voluntarily served as a Track coach at Miami's Coral Park High School for five years and coached his sons and other track team members to Track & Field excellence at city and state levels. He trained and coached his sons in shot and discus; Kevin to 2nd place Shot (Fla.) and Steven 1st place Discus (Fla.) State Champion, and 3rd place Shot (Fla.) His Track coaching skills assisted several students in gaining college athletic scholarships.
