Charles C. Hurst, 79, of Centertown, passed away Friday at a Jefferson City Hospital where he had been a patient eight weeks after suffering a stroke.
Mr. Hurst was born Aug. 26, 1893, at Centertown, the son of Emanual and Ella Cashen Hurst. He was married Jan 26, 1931, to Regina Steimel Hurst, who died in 1945.
He was a member of the St. Martin's Catholic Church, St. Martin's.
Mr. Hurst owned the Blue Grass stock farm, Centertown until his retirement.
Survivors include two sons, three daughters and 17 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Martin's Church with the Rev. Brendon Doyle officiating. Interment was in the parish cemetery. Funeral arrangements were in charge of the Bowlin Funeral Home, California.
