A time of visitation will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2022 from 12:30 until 1:00 p.m. at The Mausoleum Chapel at Colonial Gardens Cemetery in Marshall, TX.

John Anderson was the kind of man who never met a stranger. If talking was his favorite pass time, then making people laugh was a close second. He spent his childhood on a dairy. He hauled milk before school and hauled hay after school, among tending livestock and other tasks. Mr. Anderson became a business owner in his 20's and retired after 40 plus years. John had an excellent memory full of exciting and hilarious stories. You could regularly find Mr. Anderson around a table at McDonalds with his friends, drinking coffee, telling stories, and solving the world's problems. He enjoyed traveling, buying and selling machinery and old vehicles, and helping others when he could. John had one great love in his life and that was Mrs. Yvonne, she was his moon and stars for 45 wonderful years. His sun was his family and nothing gave him more joy than to be with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren whenever he could.

Gone before him are his loving wife, Yvonne Anderson; his grandson, John Bonin; his sisters, Kathryn McMillian, and Norma Bardo; and his brother, Michael Anderson. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Terry Lynn Zapata and husband Mario, Peggy Lee Beets, Richard Wayne Anderson and wife Eva Christine, Sheryl Anne Trejo, Kenneth Ray Anderson, Melissa Lee Ligues and husband Benjamin, and Yvonne Kelly Anderson and boyfriend William Salard, numerous grand and great grandchildren; siblings, Marjorie King and husband Charles, William "Butch" Anderson and wife Pat, and Patricia Scher and husband Glenn, and a host of relatives, dear friends, and loved ones. John Ellis Anderson is dearly loved and will be deeply missed.

In lieu of flowers, the Anderson family requests that donations be made to the charity of your choice in memory of Mr. John Ellis Anderson.
