She was born July 22, 1896 in Henry, a daughter of Timothy and Ellen Fogerty. She married Jesse Sleater on March 12, 1925. He died in 1983.
Surviving are one daughter: Mary Ellen (Charles) Nell of Streator; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother: Vern Fogerty of Princeville; and one sister: Marie Pairan of Henry.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and one grandson.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church.
