Camilo D. Vega-Perez age 64, of 520 Reed Ave. Manitowoc, was called Home by his Lord and Savior on Monday, June 22, 2015 at Journey Care Hospice in Barrington, IL with his loving family by his side. Camilo was born on December 30, 1950 in Yauco, Puerto Rico, son of Virginia (Perez) Bozarth and the late Camilo Vega. The family moved to the United State when he was a child. Camilo enlisted in the United States Army serving in Viet Nam from 1972-1974. He was a Manitowoc resident since 1998 and worked for Federal Mogul and the Kohler Company. On April 3, 1999 Camilo married the former Georgia Kocian in Manitowoc. Camilo loved to operate remote control helicopters.Survivors include his wife: Georgia Vega, Manitowoc; his mother: Virginia Bozarth, Manitowoc; his three children: Carlos Gonzalez, Elgin, IL; Yvonne (Darryl) Gonzalez-Nazario, Kissimmmee, FL; Camilo B. Vega, IL; 4 granddaughters; one great grandson; one sister: Bethzaida Vega, Guayanilla, Puerto Rico; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends survive. He was preceded in death by his father: Camilo Vega and his grandmother: Maria Matos. A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 27, 2015 at Calvary Chapel, 1208 S. 10th St. Manitowoc, Pastor Joe Guglielmo will officiate with entombment of his cremated remains at the Knollwood Mausoleum, Manitowoc. Vietnam Veterans Chapter #731 of Manitowoc will accord military rites immediately following the memorial service at Calvary Chapel. Relatives and friends may call at the Calvary Chapel on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in his name would be appreciated for Journey Care Hospice at www.journeycare.org The Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Manitowoc is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
