Aaron Michael Cooper, age 18, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 17, 2008.He was born July 26, 1989 to Patrick and Sebrina Lloyd in Nash County, North Carolina.
He attended Nash/Rocky Mount Schools and was an intended 2008 graduate of Northern Nash Senior High. Aaron was a very loving and affectionate son, brother, nephew, cousin and friend. He was well-known for his love of sports, namely basketball. Aarons memory will forever live on in the hearts of his many family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: James Richardson and Cleo Cooper and his paternal grandparents: Carolyn Lloyd, Hattie Leonard and Elmo Parker.
Aaron leaves to cherish his memories, his very devoted parents: Patrick and Sebrina Lloyd of the home; one sister: Brittany Cooper, also of the home; maternal grandmother: Alvania Sampson of Rocky Mount, NC; paternal grandfather: George Leonard of Castalia, NC; seven aunts: Crystal Richardson of Laurel, MD, Yvonne Cooper of Columbia, SC, Patricia Lloyd, Phyllis Lloyd, Katrina Dew (Lee), Cassandra Lloyd and Brenda Woodley, all of Rocky Mount, NC; eight uncles: George Leonard, Jr. (Sylvia) of Middlesex, NC, Russell Leonard of Rocky Mount, NC, Edward Richardson (Sylvia) of Nashville, NC; Robert Lloyd of Elm City, NC, Felix Richardson of Staten Island, NY, Sandy Lloyd (Sandra) of Dunbar Community, NC, Robin Richardson of Jacksonville, FL and Stephon Cooper of Rocky Mount, NC; special friends throughout his childhood: Devin, Vinte, Tyrell, and Bryon; one special cousin: Billy Harris; and a host of great-aunts and uncles, cousins and friends.
Funeral Service will be held 2:00 pm Sunday February 24, 2008 at Thornes Chapel Missionary Baptist Church located at 1624 Windsor Drive, Rocky Mount, NC. Pastor James Gailliard will be the eulogist. Interment will follow immediately after the service at Gardens of Gethsemane.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm Saturday February 23, 2008 at H.D. Pope Funeral Home located at 325 Nash Street, Rocky Mount, NC. These professional services have been entrusted to H.D. Pope Funeral Home.
