Mary Burks Dunkerley, 77, of Kerrville, passed from this life at a local hospital on Wednesday, February 6, 2008. Born in San Antonio on May 29, 1931, she was the daughter of James Baylor and Virginia (Curtis) Bell.

She had lived in Kerrville, moving here from the Rockport, Texas area where she had lived many years. Mrs. Dunkerley was an interior decorator and was partners in the Sundial Gift shop in Rockport for 27 years. She was a member and very active in the Junior League in Corpus Christi. She loved spending time with family and friends. In her spare time she enjoyed painting, fishing, hunting and being outdoors.

Family members include her husband, Allen K. Dunkerley, Jr. of Kerrville, Texas; a son, Bill Albert and his wife, Kathy of Woodsboro, Texas; three grandchildren, Stephanie Albert of San Antonio, Texas, Carrie Hubbard of Woodsboro, Texas and Houston, Texas, Albert of Fort Irwin, California; two great grandchildren, Hailey and Hannah Hubbard of Woodsboro, Texas; a sister, Sally Summers and her husband, Rod of Rockport, Texas; and a brother, Jimmy Bell of Dallas, Texas; and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her first husband, Bill Albert in 1996, and a son, James Albert in 1991.

Services were held in the family lot in Fulton Cemetery, Fulton, Texas.
