Killed instantly in an auto accident at the intersection of Central Avenue and US Highway 101 in La Habara about 5:45 a.m. Her brother-in-law, Ce Zelo Peck died a short time later. Her husband died at Fullerton Hospital 3 days later, while his sister Daisy Peck died earlier that day at a hospital in Orange, all victims of the accident. The driver of the other car, Thomas Carson, 49 of Newport Beach, who was treated and released after the accident, was later charged with negligence and excessive speed in their deaths by the coroners' jury.
