John Charles Havlichek, 70, passed away peacefully, October 31, 2022 in Hallettsville, Texas. John was born on May 11, 1952 to Howard and Hazel Havlichek. He was a 1970 graduate of Washington High School in Two Rivers, where he loved and excelled at the sport of wrestling.

He went on to serve his country as a member of the U.S. Marines being honorably discharged from the military as a sergeant after 7 years of service. John held many occupations over the years, including working as a mechanic, journeyman carpenter, and operating a ranch in Texas. He found great joy in cooking and took his love for cooking to become a chef on an Oil Rig for several years, until his retirement.

He is survived by one son & daughter-in-law, Chris (Angie) Havlichek of Two Rivers; his father, Howard Havlichek of Two Rivers; and best friend, Marie Bodin of Hallestville, TX. Further survived by two sisters & brothers-in-law: Joy Lynn (Dean) Peterson of Mosinee, WI and Julie Rose (John) Zelinski of Lincoln, Nebraska; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Hazel Havlichek, and his grandparents.
