Denise Ruth A'Pelt passed away while surrounded by family, after a brief illness on Sunday April 10, 2022. She was 65 years old.
Denise was born in New Haven, Connecticut on April 16, 1956, to Charles William A'Pelt and Freda May (Pike) A'Pelt. Her family moved to Chester, Vermont in 1969, where she attended Chester public schools, graduating in 1974. Denise moved to Bolton, Massachusetts in 1977 and worked in electronics manufacturing at General Radio. She lived in Central Florida from 1981-1990. She was married to Edward Caron of Springfield, VT on July 6, 1985. Their two children were born in Orlando, FL. Denise and her family returned to Massachusetts in 1990, where she started her business, Freedom Gardening, while living in Pepperell, MA and raising her children. She returned to Florida in 2011 and continued her professional work in gardening, living in Interlachen, FL providing custom gardening services to her clients throughout the Gainesville area.
Denise was a thoughtful and kind person who was not afraid of hard work. She gardened all of her life and took great satisfaction in seeing her family, and many others enjoy the benefits of her efforts. The many pets she cared for over her lifetime were well served and cherished. She made friends easily and cultivated many long-term relationships in her life. She will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.
