Walter Thomas "Tommy" Capehart II was a loving father and grandfather and a loyal friend. He passed away on November 23, 2022 at his home in Grapevine, Texas. He graduated from Lewisville High School, Class of 1965 and continued his education at Cisco Junior College, University of North Texas and the University of Texas at Dallas. Tommy proudly served in the U.S. Army as a Forward Observer, Artillery Surveyor and Fire Direction Controller for the 4th Bn 94th Fld Arty 6th US Army. He was stationed at Camp Parris and Fort Irwin and was deployed to Korea during the Vietnam War.
Tommy married Nancy Caroline Shaw on July 4, 1966 in Dallas, Texas. They resided in the DFW metroplex where he worked in the telephony industry for over 30-years with Southwestern Bell, AT&T and others as an Engineer and Area Manager until his retirement in 2013. Tommy had a great passion for all sports and played varsity level baseball, football, basketball, golf and track through his high school years. In his later years, Tommy renewed his passion for golf and played all over the world while traveling in his retirement.

Tommy had a special interest in genealogy and enjoyed tracing his ancestry over many generations and even connected with distant relatives across the U.S. and the United Kingdom.
After his wife of 43 years passed away, Tommy was fortunate to find companionship with his former Lewisville High School classmate, Susan Crawford Lett until her passing in 2020.
