DEATH OF MRS. LEAVENWORTH
Mrs. Cornelia T. Leavenworth, widow of the late Dr. T. M. Leavenworth, died at her home on Orchard street, in this city, Tuesday morning. She was born in Vermont, and was 81 years old. She had lived upwards of forty-five years on the Pacific coast. She left no children, and before coming to Santa Rosa lived in Sonoma. Her husband was the first alcalde of San Francisco, and took a prominent part in the city's affairs in those early days. He died here two years ago.

Mrs. Leavenworth was buried in Rural cemetery Thursday. Religious services were held at the Episcopal Church and at the grave by Rev. J. T. Shurtleff. The pallbearers were Messrs. Porter, Smith, Barnes, Phelps, Sawyer and Forbes. A large number of people attended at the grave, following the remains to their last resting place.
