JOSEPH WILLIS OBITUARY

Joseph Porter Willis, Jr. October 7, 2020 Joseph P. Willis Jr., 95, of Manlius passed away Wednesday. Joseph was born in Syracuse, the son of the late Joseph Sr. and Ruth Willis. He graduated from Manlius High School and was a life long poultry farmer and CNY Regional Market vendor. Joseph was a former member and trustee of Oran Community Church, president of the Syracuse Bowling Association and a member of their hall of fame, as well as a founding member and past president of the Tuesday Night Bowling League. Joseph enjoyed playing softball, baseball and was a private pilot. He is predeceased by his loving wife, Janet "Liz" and his son, Robert D. Willis. Joseph is survived by, daughters, Ruth (Lee) Willis-Linn, Dorothy Willis, Cindy (Frank) Seamans, Janet DeBottis; son, Joseph P. (Sue) Willis III; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews Calling hours will be Monday from 4-7 p.m. at the Newell-Fay Manlius Chapel, 8171 Cazenovia Rd., Manlius. A funeral service will be Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Contributions in Joseph's memory may be made to: Oran Community Church, P.O. Box 311.
