Janet E. Willis, 89, of Manlius passed away Tuesday. She was born in Syracuse, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Norman and Martha Douglas. Janet graduated from Manlius High School. She was an active member of Oran Community Church and the Women's Workers Class. Janet also enjoyed sewing and she worked for many years as a vendor at the Regional Farmers Market.
Janet was predeceased by her son, Robert D. Willis, and brother, Norman Douglas. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Joseph Willis Jr.; daughters, Ruth (Lee) Willis-Linn, Dorothy Willis, Cindy (Frank) Seamans, Janet DeBottis; son, Joseph P. (Sue) Willis III; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Friday from 4-7 p.m. at the Newell-Fay Manlius Chapel, 8171 Cazenovia Rd., Manlius. A funeral service will be Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Oran Community Church, 4527 Oran-Delphi Rd., Manlius.
