Bobby Joe Gillenwater, 40, of Kingsport went be with the Lord on Monday, November 28, 2022 after a hard fought battle with Crohn's and Gastroparesis. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, as well as riding four wheelers and horses. Bobby especially enjoyed spending time with his children. He was a member of Apostolic Revival Center and attended the Living Word Church of God. He was a loving father, brother, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Suzie Gillenwater; along with several aunts and uncles.

He is survived by his children, Elijah Brady Gillenwater, Chloe Reese Gillenwater, and Zoe Ryleigh Gillenwater; sisters, Betty Morelock, and Beverly Fink and husband Robbie; brother, Billy Gillenwater and wife Donna; nieces, Tabitha Russell, Tiffany Tritt, Robyn Light, Harlee Gillenwater; nephews, Robbie Fink Jr. and Hunter Gillenwater; beloved companion, Teddy; along with a host of extended family and friends.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1pm on Saturday, December, 3, 2022 at Oak Hill Memorial Park with Shane McCracken, Pastor Leonard Dixon, and Pastor Steve Guinn officiating. Pallbearers will be Noah Jennings, Eric White, Justin Boggs, Travis Salyer, Hunter Gillenwater, and Robbie Jr. Fink. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 12:50pm.
