Charles Wayne Bodie, 66, of Gilbert passed away Saturday, November 26, 2022 at his home. Born in Monetta, SC, he was a son of the late Jacob Charles Bodie and Rosa Mae Duffie Bodie.
Wayne retired from JB Martin and Michelin. He was a member of the The Rescue Church in Pelion. Wayne loved farming, fishing and hunting but above all he loved his family.
Surviving are his wife, Annie Rawls Bodie; daughters, Julie Bodie Shealy (Stanley), Trista Bodie, Zoe Shirley Bodie, Virginia Allison Bodie; sons, Anthony Fletcher Bodie, Kevin Halsey (Melissa) and Raymond Halsey (Patricia); seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Carolyn Bodie Cockrell as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Raymond Bodie (Sandra) and WD Bodie (Sandra); a sister, Gloria Taylor (James) and a brother-in-law, Billy Cockrell.
The service for Wayne will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, November 28th at The Rescue Church, 441 Old Charleston Road, Pelion, SC with the Rev. Donald Bodie officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at the church.
