According to an article in the Montgomery Advertiser, Montgomery AL on Mar. 28, 1911, a tornado and cyclone hit Jones Mill and "Frank McCrory and his family of nine, all were injured seriously, with the exception of the infant."

In addition:"At Jones Mill the residence and outhouses of James Bailey, STEVE BYRD, Frank McCrory and James H. Jones, were destroyed. Mr. BYRD was killed outright, although the details of his death have not yet been ascertained. His wife and child were seriously injured.
Entire Family Reported Dead.
JAMES BAILEY was so seriously hurt that it is reported he has succumbed since the cyclone passed over the town. His wife and four children probably were killed."

On April 25, 2017., Martha Lundy made the following correction to the story above: According to the story above, Frank and Annie were killed in the cyclone that hit Frisco City, Alabama. This storm was the result of the death of Frank McCrory. His wife died two months later from the injuries from the cyclone. However, none of the four children died from their injuries from this storm.
