He married his forever sweetheart, Waynetta Jean Harris on July 9, 1994 in Elk City, Oklahoma. Jim worked for Patterson Oilfield Rental for twenty-seven years. He enjoyed fishing, spending time in his shop, feeding the deer, riding his Harley, he was a big Harley advocate. Jim enjoyed drinking a few beers with his friends and loved collecting guns. He loved more than anything else to be with his family and friends.
Jim was a lifetime member of the NRA and A.B.A.T.E- Northwest 69 Chapter.
