George Charles Gase April 23, 1934 - March 24, 2017 El Cajon, CA Wonderful husband. Great Dad and Grandpa has gone to be with Jesus. Many members of his family were able to be with him as he moved on to heaven from his home in El Cajon. Born in Fostoria, Ohio, George and his beloved wife Betty of 63 years moved to California in 1958. George worked most of his life in the insurance industry as an auto appraiser, most of that time with State Farm. George loved fishing and riding the dunes in his desert buggy that he built. George was also an avid gardener. He is survived by his wife Betty, his 3 children and their spouses: Dennis and Carol Gase of Denver, CO (previously Santee), Diana and Steve Dunham of Lakeside and Donna and John Train of Spring Valley. George and Betty had 5 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in his name to Autism Speaks or San Diego Hospice.
