She was born on February 22, 1922 at her home in Greene, NY, to the late Thure and Alma (Carlson) Stein. Her husband of 45 years, Edwin A. Hall, Jr., predeceased her.

Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Sherry Hall, Candor, NY, three step-children and their spouses, Charles Hall, Baldwinsville, NY, Marriet and Carl Bowser, TX, Richard and Mary Hall, Ellicott City, MD, many grand and great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Freida was very warm and inviting to anyone who visited her home. She loved her family and her grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, going for walks, cooking, baking, listening to music; especially Lawrence Welk. She frequently spoke of her time when she worked and lived in Washington DC working in a congressional office which led to her keen interest in politics and current events.

A Celebration of life will be held later at the convenience of the family. The burial has already taken place at Quaker Lake Cemetery, Brackney, PA.
