Obituary
Viola Mae Carpenter of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away on December 8, 2022, at the age of 77. She was born in Oklahoma City on June 12, 1945, the daughter of Carl and Rowena Geurin.

As a young woman, Viola attended Del City High School, graduating with the Class of 1963. She went on to have a rewarding career as a driver for Dealer's Auto Auction of OKC, retiring from the job she loved after 25 years of dedicated service.

Viola was a kind, loving, and caring person. She was a hard worker and a wonderful homemaker for her family, always ensuring that they were safe and well taken care of. She liked being outside and enjoyed gardening and tending to her plants. She also enjoyed watching TV, especially old westerns like Gunsmoke, The Rifleman, and Bonanza, and she absolutely loved any movie starring John Wayne. More than anything, Viola cherished her family and the memories they created together. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and devoted friend. Viola will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Viola is survived by two children, Tim Carpenter and his wife Ginger of Oklahoma City, and Misti Michelle Carpenter of Del City, Oklahoma; one brother, Daniel Geurin and wife Julia of Enid, Oklahoma, and one sister, Carleen McIntire of Garland, Texas; a grandson, Roo Cody Lee Carpenter, and many more loving family and friends.
