Kazimierz Antony Rogowski - Casimir Rogowski aka. Casey
Born 1923 in Kurczyno-Poland. Worked as a security guard for the Allied Forces in Germany during WWII, then came to Canada and worked as a lumberjack before moving to Kenosha WI. Lived a lifetime too long and interesting to summarize here, but I'll try. He was LOVED by everyone that knew him. His garden was his pride and joy and I would always see him outside tending to one thing or another. My fondest memory of my Dad is when I was in grade school and my sisters and I would get home before he got out of work..we would watch for him walking toward us from blocks away (he worked 1/2 mile from home and would always walk back and forth)and we would yell "Daddy's coming!! Daddy's coming!!" and run to greet him every day. He would be exhausted, dirty, sweat-stained (worked in a wire rope company as a machinist)but he would always have a smile on his face when he saw us.
We had a 2 foot Scooby Doo pool in the backyard and on hot days, he would change into his swimming trunks, grab an Old Style beer and sit in the pool. He always said "ahh...this is the life!"
In the winters he would get the garden hose out and flood the big backyard to make an ice skating rink for us. He was the BEST Dad a girl could ask for!
I miss you Dad! Love Krysia

There will not be a moment, I will not think of you. Our special time together. The loving things you would do. Memories so special when you were by my side. Now tucked away inside my heart Forever to abide. And someday up in heaven, again your face I'll see. When we meet upon the golden shore. When the best is yet to be.

GOD SAW YOU WERE GETTING TIRED,
AND A CURE WAS NOT TO BE:
SO HE PUT HIS ARMS AROUND YOU,
AND WHISPERED 'COME WITH ME.'

WITH TEARFUL EYES WE WATCHED YOU
SUFFER, AND SAW YOU FADE AWAY.
ALTHOUGH WE LOVED YOU DEARLY,
WE COULD NOT ASK YOU TO STAY.

A GOLDEN HEART STOPPED BEATING,
HARD WORKING HANDS, LAID TO REST...

OUR BROKEN HEARTS PROVED TO US
GOD ONLY TAKES THE BEST.

Casimir A. (Casey) Rogowski
Born: April 02, 1923
Died: June 10, 2006
Casimir A. "Casey" Rogowski, Age 83, of Twin Lakes died June 10, 2006 at United Hospital Systems – St. Catherine's Campus.

Born in Kurczyno, Poland on April 2, 1923, he was the son of the late Victor and Helena (Rzeczycki) Rogowski. He experienced many lands as a young man, starting his first seventeen years in Poland; then living in Germany for four years during WWII working as a M.P. for the U.S. Armed Forces guarding Prisoners of War. After spending four more years in Ontario, Canada as a lumberjack, Casimir moved to Kenosha where he lived for nine years. He returned to Poland where he met and married his wife Joan.

Casimir married Harriet Zongolowicz as a young man. They were married for ten years before she passed away. On May 14, 1960 in Lodz, Poland, he found love again when he married Joan D. Wisniewski. After their marriage, they moved to Kenosha to raise their wonderful family, spending 46 wonderful years together.

As a Machine Operator for Mac Whyte Corp., Casimir retired in 1985 after a 25 year career. He also worked at St. Catherine's Hospital where he worked in the housekeeping department for many years.

Being passionate about his faith, Casimir was a devoted former member of St. Casimir's Catholic Church. He had been a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church before relocating to Twin Lakes to reside with his daughter, where he became a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.

Casey loved the outdoors – fishing and gardening being among his favorite hobbies. But his spirituality seemed to soar because of his fondness for prayerful times spent at the Grotto at St. Catherine's Hospital.

He will always be remembered for the blessings he bestowed on his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers: Chester, Waclaw, and Stanley

His daughter Catherine followed him to Heaven only 4 months later.

CAUSE OF DEATH: Pancreatic Cancer, Congestive Heart Failure, Kidney Failure
