C.W. Cunningham Expires Suddenly

---Charles Wallace Cunningham died suddenly at 5 o'clock Saturday, afternoon at the family residence, 704 East Whitner Street. He was sixty-two years and seven months old. He had been blind for the past twenty years. He had seemed in his usual health and ate a hearty dinner and was about the house as usual in the afternoon.

---Mr. Cunningham became suddenly ill at 4 o'clock. The lung motor was called, but could do no good. He was born November 12, 1852, in Ohio. He lived at Macon, Missouri, for nineteen years coming to Decatur three years ago. He was employed by the Santa Fe railroad for thirty years.

---Mr. Cunningham is survived by his wife and the following children: Mrs. A. L. True of Moberly, Mo., Mrs. J. W. Atkinson and Miss Effie Cunningham of Newark, N. J., and Ray and Olin Cunningham of Decatur. He also leaves a brother, Augustus Cunningham, in Missouri, and two sisters, Mrs. Anna Lee of Missouri and Mrs. Mollie Pettit of Colorado.

---No arrangements have been made for the funeral. Coroner Elmer Brintlinger will hold the inquest at 9 o'clock this morning.

---Charles Cunningham, a former resident of La Plata, died at his home in Moberly Saturday evening and the funeral was held Monday after which the remains were laid in the Moberly cemetery. He had been blind for a number of years and until recently conducted a peanut and popcorn wagon at Macon.

---Charles W. Cunningham died at his home at 704 E. Whitner Street, Decatur, Illinois on Saturday, June 12. His death was very sudden and unexpected and was caused by neuralgia of the heart.

---Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the residence and was conducted by Rev. J.C. Brown. The body was held for burial until Wednesday in order that his sister, Mrs. J.C. Pettit and 1 son Clarence Osborn might be present. Interment was made in Fair Lawn cemetery.

---Mr. Cunningham was a brother of Mrs. S.A. Lee of this city and was well known here, having lived for a number of years at La Plata and Macon.
