Leonard F. Henry, Hanover Junction, Who Was Struck By Train, Buried

MANY FLORAL TRIBUTES

Hanover Junction, Dec. 12 – Despite the inclement weather, more than six hundred relatives and friends, today, attended the funeral of Leonard F. Henry, merchant, postmaster and otherwise prominent citizen who was instantly killed last Monday morning, when struck by the Liberty Limited train on the Pennsylvania railroad, at this place.
Brief services were held at his late home, here, at 10 a.m. The funeral party then proceeded to Shaffer's Union Church, near here, of which the deceased was a member, where concluding services were held. Rev. W. H. Ehrhart, pastor of the Jefferson Lutheran charge, officiated. He was assisted by Rev. S. H. Culler, pastor of the Seven Valleys Lutheran charge. Interment was made in the adjoining cemetery. The pallbearers, were: Jacob Markle, Earl Miller, Robert Bortner, William Zeigler, William Mosebrook and Allen Henry. Floral tributes were profuse and beautiful.

He was survived by his loving wife Leona (Wertz) Henry and eight-year old twins, a daughter Phyllis Susan Henry, and a son Leonard Freeman Henry. He was also survived by his father William S. Henry. Leonard was preceeded in death by his mother Idabell Freeman Henry.

Funeral Director C. O. Goodling, of Seven Valleys, had charge of the funeral.
