RITES FRIDAY FOR MATILDA WIDEMAN

Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Gladwin Free Methodist Church for Mrs. Matilda E. Wideman, 84, who died Tuesday morning at her home in Gladwin, following a short illness. The Rev. Earl Fogelsonger and the Rev. George Skene will officiate and burial will be in Ridge Cemetery. Born December 9, 1878, in Schuylkill County, Pa., she came to Gladwin at the age of six with her parents and has lived here since. She was a member of the Free Methodist Church.

The former Matilda E. Reigle was married to Charles Babcock on April 21, 1894, in Gladwin. He preceded her in death in February, 1939. She was married to Isaiah Wideman on August 31, 1940. Survivors include her husband, Isaiah; two sons, Sidney Babcock, of Gladwin,
and James Babcock, of Flint; a daughter, Mrs. Kattie Shamel, of Flint; two brothers, Frank Reigle, of Flint, and George Reigle, of Gladwin, four grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and one great, great grandchild. Friends may call at the Miner Funeral Home.
