CHARLES EDGAR BAILEY
Charles Edgar Bailey, a former resident of Gladwin, died July 27, 1929, at Hurley hospital, Flint. . Mr. Bailey was born Nov. 7, 1882 in Paulding county, Ohio, and was 46 years, 8 months and 20 days old. He came to Gladwin county, Michigan in 1900, and was married to Miss Myrtle Myers, March 5, 1903. One daughter, Mrs. Clifford Conarty, was born to them. In November 1917 the family moved to Flint, where he lived until his death.
He leaves to mourn his wife, daughter and son-in-law of Flint; two brothers, William Bailey of Flint, and T. A. Bailey of Roscommon; two sisters, Mrs. Musseta Varner of Oakwood, Ohio, and Mrs. James Bailey of Roscommon; many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held at the Sherman Free Methodist church July 29, 1929 at 2 p. m. conducted by Rev. Hoenshell of Pinconning. The body was laid to rest in the Ridge cemetery. Gladwin County Record dated 8-8/1929 Column – 3 Page – 1.
