William Lawson Bryant Jr., 84, a longtime resident of Huntsville passed away Thursday at Tut Fann State Veteran's Home. Will was born in St. Louis and moved to Huntsville at the age of 15. He was a selfemployed plumber and also worked for Redstone Arsenal for 50 years. He was a World War II purple heart veteran and a member of the Pipefiitter's Local Union 377. Will was an avid bowler and his passion was sports, especially the St. Louis Cardinals and the Atlanta Braves. He was preceded in death by his parents, William L. Bryant Sr. and Sarah Bryant; brothers, Hall, Ben and Kenny Bryant; and a sister; Eva Bryant. Survivors include his wife, Rachael M. Bryant of Huntsville; daughter, April B. Strom and husband Paul of Rockledge, Fla.; and sons, William L. Bryant III and wife Susan of Madison, David J. Bryant of Orlando, Fla., and Matthew E. Bryant and wife Bobbi of Murfreesboro, Tenn. Will is also survived by four grandchildren, Gregory and Tracy Bryant and Samantha and Natalie Strom; as well as many nieces and nephews.
